The Flamengo senior synchronized swimming team traveled to São Paulo last Thursday (November 27.11) to represent Flamengo in the Brazilian Championship. The eleven swimmers from the Mais Querido team were accompanied by coach Roberta Perillier and her assistant, Marina Valadão, aiming to bring home medals in all the events to be contested in the competition. And the goal was successfully achieved.

In the Technical Solo, Joseane Martins won gold for the Gávea team. Alongside her, sisters Daniela and Gabriela Figueiredo also brought first place for Flamengo in the Technical Duet. Rounding out the gold medals, Aline Vieira and Júlia Campos took the top spot on the podium in the Free Duet.

In the Free Solo event, Maria Eduarda Wolf won silver. The same medal was won by the Combined Routine teams (composed of Daniela Figueiredo, Camila Ururahy, Maria Eduarda Werneck, Aline Vieira, Giovana Bueno, Julia Campos, Maria Eduarda Wolf, Laryssa Cierutti, Maithe Pedroni and Gabriella Figueiredo) and the Free Team (composed of Daniela Figueiredo, Camila Ururahy, Maria Eduarda Werneck, Aline Vieira, Giovana Bueno, Julia Campos, Maria Eduarda Wolf and Gabriella Figueiredo).

In total, they brought home six medals, more than enough to fill Roberta Perillier with pride. "I was pleased with the team's performance. Our athletes competed as always, with the grit and determination of our club's colors. I believe the equal medal count against our direct rivals showed that our athletes remain among the best in the country," said the coach. Camila Ururahy, the oldest athlete in the group, echoed her joy at the competition's result. "Swimming alongside this team is an inexplicable feeling. Congratulations to everyone for their hard work," the swimmer concluded.
