Flamengo's synchronized swimming girls are guaranteed a place at the Brazilian Junior Championship, which takes place from Friday (16.11) to Sunday (18.11), at Clube Paineiras do Morumby, in São Paulo. Over the three days of competition, there will be solo, duet, team and figure routines, with the latter being exclusive to category tournaments.

Flamengo will be represented by Maria Clara Lobo, performing solo on "Salomé"; Beatriz Regly and Maria Clara Lobo, performing duet on "Rango"; and Julia Campos is still waiting to find her partner for the duet on "Africa." The competition is between Ayllen Rossi and Larissa Ceruti.

In the team competition, Flamengo will have Maria Clara Lobo, Beatriz Regly, Julia Campos, Ayllen Rossi, Larissa Ceruti, Luisa Muzbeck, Maitê Pedroni, Maria Luiza Leal and Laiane Gonçalves, with the theme "Mermaids".

Coach Roberta Périllier commented on how the Championship will be a great opportunity to test the new generation of athletes that the Rubro-Negro swimming team is developing.

"They've already completed the senior team. Expectations are high; we hope to have a great championship and we're betting on them to compete in the senior category in the future."

Along with Flamengo, the tournament will feature the participation of teams from Fluminense, Grêmio, Cief/PB, Federal Technological University of Paraná, Corinthians, BNB/Fortaleza, Tijuca Tênis/RJ and Paineiras Morumby, current Brazilian Junior champion 2011.
