Roberta Périllier, coach of the CRF and the Brazilian synchronized swimming team, left for China last Tuesday (8/4), where she will lead the Duet in the Pre-Olympic tournament of the sport, which will be held in Beijing, between the 16th and 20th of April.

In addition to Roberta, CRFlamengo will also have the presence of Giovana Stephan (photo), as a reserve for Dueto.

At the Olympics, there will be 24 Duets and eight Teams. Five pairs are already known, having qualified automatically after their respective countries' Teams (United States, Australia, China, Egypt, and Russia) secured their spots. The Pre-Olympics will determine three more spots, leaving 16 Duets spots remaining.

For the coach, the Brazilians are ready for the challenge. "The girls are training excellently and are very dedicated. We're looking for every extra tenth in our scores."
