Laryssa Cerutti changed her look, but it wasn't out of vanity. The Flamengo synchronized swimming team member cut her long, shoulder-length hair to donate to children with cancer. The Flamengo athlete says this was a longtime dream.

 

"Since I was very young, I've always wanted to volunteer with children, the elderly, and those most in need. But with training and school, I couldn't balance things. Until I discovered Cabelegria online, which receives hair donations by mail and makes wigs for children with cancer. It was super easy, and I didn't care about appearances because the hair grows back. I felt renewed, not only because of the different cut, but because of the positive energy of a child having a part of me in the fight against cancer. I have hope that this child's treatment will be successful," she said.

 

To increase the self-esteem of children undergoing treatment, the donor needs to cut at least 10cm of hair and send it to Cabelegria, located in São Paulo. Click here to learn more about the project.
