The Brazilian synchronized swimming team finished second out of 23 teams at the Synchro Japan Open. The team, which features Lorena Molinos and Maria Clara Lobo, now heads to the 2015 Pan American Games, which will take place in Toronto in July. Brazil qualified for the South American tournament in 2014.

"I think it's great that our score has gone up a lot. Our choreography has been improving a lot, and this proves that our efforts are being rewarded, as well as demonstrating to other countries that Brazil is evolving a lot," said Maria Clara.
