Synchronized Swimming Wins Gold in All Events at the South American Aquatics Championships

The Brazilian Synchronized Swimming Team secured its fourth and final gold medal on Saturday (15/03) with the Combined Routine event, the final event of the competition.

The first medal came with the solos of Giovana Stephan, an athlete from Flamengo, who scored 87 points in the two Routines presented.

In the team events, three more medals were secured. The team is composed mostly of Flamengo athletes; of the 10 representatives, six are from the red and black team. They are: Giovana Stephan, Gláucia Heyer Souza, Michele Frota, Lorena Molinos, Joseane Martins, and Camila Ururahy. Pámela Nogueira (TTC), Lara Teixeira (TTC), Nayara Figueira (CPM), and Maria Bruno (FFC) complete the team.

The duo formed by Lara Teixeira (TTC) and Nayara Figueira (CPM) and with Giovana Stephan (CRF) as reserve secured their medal with a total of 89.748. This duo will be at the Beijing Pre-Olympics next month.
