Last Saturday (11), the girls from the red-black artistic swimming team put on a show in the SESC Guarulhos pools, in São Paulo. Representing the Brazilian National Team, the red-blacks and the other athletes that make up the national team performed a presentation that marked the inauguration of the new unit of the sports complex.
"It was really cool! Besides having the opportunity to showcase our work, we also had the chance to share some experience in a kind of artistic swimming 'masterclass,' where children and adults could participate. I think our participation in these events is very important because it brings more visibility to the sport and, consequently, we gain more fans and new admirers of the sport," exclaimed Maria Clara Lobo, a red-and-black fan.
In addition to Maria Clara, nine other athletes from Mais Querido were present at the event: Rebecca Rodrigues, Vitória Cazali, Gabriela Regly, Jullia Catharino, Laura Miccuci, Lorena Molinos, and Maria Eduarda Miccuci. Renan Alcântara represented Rubro-Negro in the men's category.
It's worth noting that the Brazilian National Team continues its preparations for the World Aquatics Championships, which will be held from July 12 to 28 in Gwangju, South Korea. After completing its participation in the tournament, the national delegation will travel directly to the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, scheduled for July 26 to August 11.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
