Flamengo has always been the majority of Brazilian synchronized swimming teams, shining in national and international competitions. This year, the girls from Gávea did not disappoint, performing well in all categories. With precise movements, the adult team won the 2012 Brazilian Category Championship (in João Pessoa), the Brazilian Championship, and the 2012 Absolute State Championship (Rio de Janeiro).

The Junior category won the 2012 State Championship—all-around, in the solo, duet, and team events. The junior girls, with grace and precise movements, secured the State Championship—all-around, in the solo, duet, and team events. They also won the Brazilian Youth Championship (São Paulo)—placing third overall and champion in the solo event, runner-up in the team event, and third in the duet event. And the children's team, full of joy, won bronze in the 2012 Children's State Championship—placing third overall.

But 2012 isn't over yet for the girls' swimmers. The aquatic dancers are promising to compete in the Brazilian Junior Championship, which will be held from November 15th to 18th in São Paulo; the Brazilian Children's Championship, from November 22nd to 25th in Fortaleza; and the National Selection, on November 29th and 30th and December 1st and 2nd.
