Red-and-blacks compete in the State Artistic Swimming Technical Routines Championship
Competition will be held this weekend at Tijuca Tennis Club

The Rio de Janeiro Aquatic Federation (FARJ) Artistic Swimming Technical Routine Tournament takes place this weekend, and Flamengo will be looking for the title. At Tijuca Tênis Clube, the red-blacks will enter the pool on Saturday (07) and Sunday (08).In the last edition, in July 2017, Mais Querido won 21 medals, including five gold, five silver and three bronze in the solo events; three gold and one silver in the team events; and three gold and one bronze in the doubles.
Last Saturday, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) team won four gold medals and three silver medals at the SP Open, held at Clube Paineiras do Morumby in São Paulo. Renan Alcântara and Giovana Stephan reached the top of the podium twice with their technical routine and free duets. Giovana also took gold in the technical floor, the same event that Ana Clara Almeida dominated in the Children's category.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
