Rubro-negros compete in the French Open of artistic swimming for the Brazilian National Team
The competition takes place between March 1st and 3rd in Paris, France.

In total, seven Flamengo athletes will participate in the French Open, which takes place from March 1st to 3rd in Paris, France. Flamengo coach Roberta Perillier will also participate in the competition, leading the national team.
Of the 12 athletes that make up the Brazilian team, seven are red-black: Giovana Stephan (Mixed Technical Duet, Technical Team, Free and Combo), Renan Alcântara (Mixed Technical Duet), Maria Clara Lobo (Technical Team, Free, Combo, Technical Duet and Free), Laura Miccuci (Technical Team, Free, Combo and reserve of the Technical Duet and Free), Lorena Molinos (Technical Team, Free and Combo), Maria Eduarda Miccuci (Technical Team, Free, Combo, Technical Duet and Free) and Gabriela Regly (Combo and reserve of the Technical Team and Free).
On the Official Website, the red-black Giovana Stephan explained the details of the choreography that will be used in the Mixed Duet and Free events.
"This will be my fourth appearance at the French Open. In the Mixed Duet, we have two very interesting choreographies: the Technical Duet, inspired by Grupo Corpo's performance, in honor of Lecuana (a Cuban singer), and the Free Duet, we use the theme song from Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity. We hope the audience enjoys the artistic aspect and the judges enjoy the technical aspect. In the team performances, the theme will be Brazilian and Indigenous, and in the combined routine, we'll feature superheroes," said Giovana, who concluded by discussing the team's preparation for this competition.
"We started changing the choreography in December and finished in mid-January. Training has been quite intense, from Monday to Saturday, averaging seven to eight hours a day in two shifts. Here at Flamengo, the athletes receive full support from professionals such as a physical trainer, nutritionist, and psychologist, and this is crucial for us to achieve the results we expect at the World Cup and the Pan American Games. The club has provided all the necessary infrastructure, always striving for excellence and high performance from the athletes," he concluded.
