Coach targets Carioca and wants to "defend the club's colors with joy"

Next Saturday (December 05.12), 25 Flamengo synchronized swimmers will participate in the final competition of the sport in 2015, the State Category Championship, at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Park, Rio de Janeiro. The girls will be divided into four categories: Children, Youth, Junior and Senior. The "Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved) is fighting for a podium finish in all competitions, with the favoritism in the team events and Senior and Beginner Children categories.
"The most important thing about this competition is the opportunity for the entire team to participate together, at the same time. From the oldest to the youngest, from the most experienced to the most novice. They will all be sharing the same pool. I believe it's a very important championship format for developing team spirit, unity, and camaraderie. It strengthens family engagement, the creation of idols, and the promotion of synchronized swimming. This way, we'll all be together, defending the red and black colors with great joy," said enthusiastic coach Roberta Perillier, "Beta."
In addition to the traditional events, the Brazilian National Team will compete in the Maria Lenk pool. Among them are the red-and-black Maria Clara Lobo, Lorena Molinos, and Giovana Stephan.

The synchronized swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law.
