All set! The red-and-black girls embark on the Brazilian Artistic Swimming Championship
Competition starts this Friday (28) with athletes from the Children's and Youth categories

This Friday (28) will see the start of the Brazilian Interclub Championship, which will take place at Clube Paineiras do Morumby, in São Paulo. The competition runs until September 30 and brings together teams from the Children's and Youth categories. In total, 83 athletes are registered for the Team, Duet 1 and 2, Solo 1 and 2 and Figures events.
The red-and-black girls competing in the Children's competition are Ana Clara de Almeida, Nicole Shinohara, Emily Victoria, Thamirys da Conceição, and Hannah Sukman. In the Youth category, Jaddy Milla Passos, Leonora Leão, Ana Clara, Manuella de Menezes, Eduarda Carrilho, Camille Dias, Júlia Bouças, and Grazielly Miranda.
Marina Valadão, coach of Mais Querido, spoke a little about what the tournament will be like.
"In this Brazilian Championship, in addition to the figures events, we will have routine events, each worth 50% of the final score. Although our athletes really enjoy competing in the routine events, we need to focus more on the figures because we'll be starting with them. Another important fact is that this will be the first time we'll compete in the free routine. We expect to compete for first place in the Children's Solo, Duet, and Youth Solo events," said Marina.

Flamengo, Tijuca Tênis Clube, Fluminense, Paineiras-SP and Morguenau-SP are the teams that will enter the pools in search of the best placements.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
