Next weekend, from May 16th to 18th, twenty red-and-black athletes will take to the pool at Maria Lenk Aquatic Park to compete in the III Brazil Synchro Open. Some swimmers will compete for the club, others for the Senior and Junior teams.

Giovana Stephan, Lorena Molinos, Jessica Noutel, Joseane Martins Costa, and Maria Clara Lobo will compete for the Brazilian Senior Team in the ensemble - Technical Routine and ensemble - Free Routine events. Giovana will also compete in the duet - Technical Routine and Duet - Free Routine.

Sisters Beatriz Regly and Gabriela Regly are part of the Brazilian Junior team in the figures, group - Free Routine and group - Combined Free Routine events.

Camila Ururahy, Maria Eduarda Wolf, Maria Eduarda Werneck, Giovana Bueno, Daniella Figueiredo, Gabriella Figueiredo, Julia Campos, Luisa Muzbeck, Laryssa Cerutti, Maithe Pedroni, Layane Gonçalves and Aline Vieira make up the Flamengo team in the group event - Combined Free Routine.

In the first edition, the athletes competed for both their club and national team; in the second, they competed solely for Brazil. Among the Flamengo players with experience in the Synchro Open, Laryssa Cerutti will make her debut for Flamengo. "It's my first time in the championship, and I'll be swimming in a group of ten athletes. We've been training for a month when we decided to introduce the combined routine. The choreography has a burlesque theme, and it's very artistic, dynamic, and lively. The competition is great because national teams and clubs are welcome, and everyone competes against everyone else," she said.

Running parallel to the Brazil Synchro Open is the Interfederativo, a competition also organized by the Brazilian Aquatic Sports Confederation (CBDA), which features state teams competing in the Youth category. In this competition, athlete Jullia Maria Faillasce competes in the figures and free routine group events.
