Flamengo begins, this Tuesday (13), the journey in search of another overall and category title in the Brazilian Junior and Senior Winter Swimming Championship, which will be held until Saturday (17), at the Santos Dumont Aquatic Park, in Recife. Current two-time overall champion of the competition, Cardume Rubro-Negro will be represented by 41 athletes in both categories. The qualifiers will be held daily starting at 9 am, while the finals begin at 17 pm, with live broadcast on the Swim Channel on YouTube. Public admission to the Aquatic Park is free during all days of competition.

In the Senior category, Flamengo will have twelve athletes: Ana Luiza Daisson, Caio Ribeiro, Gabi Assis, Gui Kanzler, Isabel Fagundes, Lucca Tonin, Manu Araujo, Malu Candal, Miguel Cordeiro, Pedro Buch, and Stephan Steverink. In the Junior category, the club will be represented by a group of 29 swimmers: Alejandro Santana, André Albuquerque, Artur de Mello, Betina Braga, Bettina Moreira, Carol Alvim, Clara Flores, Daniel Muniz, Davi Siqueira, Diego Fernandes, Gabriel Orem, Giuliana Cosenza, Guilherme Lima, Gui Escudero, Isaac Silva, João Vitor Morais, Joice Otero, Leonardo da Silva, Luiz Moura, Manu Astori, Marcos André Ramos, Maria Luiza Howe, Mariana Ferreira, Pedro Henrique Neves, Pedro Medrado, Rafa Sumida, Raphael Felix, and Renata Fernandes.

With a spectacular recent record in the pools, Cardume has the confidence of Edson Terra, the club's Aquatics Manager, who is betting on another competition full of victories for FlaNatação: "Expectations are the best possible. We've worked hard, prepared very well, and we believe our athletes will be competing for the top spots in all the events they compete in—in both categories," he concluded.
