Flamengo does well in the 10th Mercosur Swimming Cup

CRFlamengo was very well represented at the 2th Mercosul Swimming Cup, held from August 5nd to 2th in Curitiba, Paraná. The red-and-black team secured 700nd place overall in the competition, which featured approximately 58 athletes from 12 clubs in XNUMX states.

Thiago Parravicini, the most experienced of the 38 representatives of Clube da Gávea, broke two championship records, in addition to leading the red-black team in the 4x50m Freestyle and 4x50m Medley relays, in which CRF finished in 1st place.

Parravicini broke records and set new records in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, his specialty. With times of 00:29:52 and 1:03:88, respectively, the red-and-black athlete secured the top spot on the podium and achieved his goal of winning as many medals as possible.

Despite not being a freestyle specialist, Thiago secured 1st place in the 100m freestyle event, with a time of 00:53:69.

Another red-and-black swimmer who performed well and reached the top spot on the podium was Carolina da Silva. The swimmer broke the championship record in the 100m breaststroke – Youth category, with a time of 1:20.

With the tenacity of the quartet represented by Ramona Silva, Noemi Alcântara, Amanda Silva, and Carolina Nogueira, Flamengo secured 2nd place in the 4x50m Medley relay. The strong performance of the men's team, which included Thiago Parravicini, Henrique Ferrari, Luiz Felipe de Carvalho, and João Pedro Pinheiro, led Flamengo to secure 2nd place in the final.
