Brazil debuted at the 14th Junior Men's Water Polo World Championship with an 8-5 defeat to Spain, but has gradually recovered from its initial loss and gained ground among the 24 teams competing.

In this Sunday's match (19/8), valid for the 2nd round of the competition, the Brazilians beat the Colombian team 7-6. The red-black Lucas Carlos, who had already scored against the Spanish team, scored a goal against the Colombians, further increasing the Brazilian advantage.

The 14th Men's Junior World Water Polo Championship, which features 24 teams divided into four groups, will be held at two locations: the United States National Training Center, located at the Federal Military Base in Los Alamitos, and at California State University, Long Beach.

The next opponent for the Brazilian team, which has the presence of three red-black forces; Lucas Carlos, Heitor Carrulo and Rafael Gama; will be Slovakia, this Monday (20/8).
