Flamengo won another exciting match valid for the Junior Men's Water Polo State Championship. The semifinal was held on Thursday night (4/10), in the Fluminense pool, with the red-black team defeating the Tijuca team by 9 to 5 (3 to 3 / 2 to 1 / 2 to 0 / 2 to 1).
Flamengo's goals were scored by Heitor (4), Charles (3 – 1 penalty), Douglas and Frota. In the other semifinal match, Botafogo beat Fluminense 11-9.
Considered one of the favorites to win the championship, Flamengo finished first in the qualifying round. In the first meeting between the two teams, the team from Gávea also came out on top, defeating Tijuca 1-9.
The grand final of the Junior State Water Polo Championship will be between Flamengo and Botafogo. Fluminense and Tijuca will battle for bronze.
