Flamengo takes bronze in the water. In competitions valid for the Brazilian Junior Water Polo Championship, Flamengo came close to winning the title twice.

In the women's competition, Paineiras do Morumby secured their fourth title by defeating Botafogo (12-6), who took silver. In a thrilling contest, Flamengo defeated Paulistano 12-3, taking third place and the bronze medal.

Bronze medal also in the men's competition. The traditional Fla-Flu match decided third place in the competition, with Pinheiros winning their second title. A 7-6 victory for Flamengo. Douglas and Nicolas were responsible for the red-and-black triumph, with four and three goals, respectively.
