After starting with a 15-0 win over Guanabara, in the opening match of the Brazilian Youth Men's Water Polo Cup, Flamengo suffered two consecutive defeats.

In a match valid for the second round of the competition, on the night of this Thursday (29/5), the red-black team was surprised by Tijuca who won 3-2 (1-0 / 0-1 / 2-1 / 0-0). Lucas and Matheus Vaz were responsible for the goals of the Gávea team.

In the third round, which began this Friday morning, another opponent overcame the home team. Playing against Sesi of São Paulo, Flamengo only managed to score all four goals in the final period. The match ended 12-4 (2-0 / 3-0 / 4-0 / 3-4) for the visitors. The red-and-black team's goals were scored by Lucas (1), Felipe (1), Daniel (1) and Matheus Vaz (1).

Today at 21:20 p.m., Flamengo will face Paulistano. The semifinals will be held on Saturday, and the finals will be held on Sunday, June 1st, starting at 9 a.m.
