Flamengo's debut in the Junior Brazil Water Polo Cup ended in a draw. The red-and-black team tied Fluminense 9-9 (3-2 / 2-2 / 3-2 / 1-3) in the first round of the competition, which features eight national teams. The Junior Brazil Cup will be held until next Sunday at the Paulistano pool.

Flamengo's goals were scored by Heitor (2), Douglas (2), Vinicius (1), Índio (1), Charles (1), Frota (1) and Luiz Fernando (1).

The second round was played on the morning of this Friday (28/9), but the team from Gávea did not perform well in the first two quarters of the game and even missed three penalties. Flamengo lost to Paineiras do Morumby by a score of 8 to 6.

The next match for the red-black team, led by coaches Solon dos Santos and Paulo Licastro, will be today, against Pinheiros, at 17:30 pm.
