The youth's determination was so strong that they deserve a shout-out. Under the leadership of coaches Solon dos Santos, Paulo Licastro, and Antonio Canetti, Flamengo won its second junior state championship playing at home. The victory took place on Friday at the Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park, home of the CRF, which hosted the grand final of the Men's Junior State Water Polo Championship.

The team, formed by Pedrinho, Charles, Douglas, Luiz Fernando, Gustavo Frota, Vitinho, João Pedro, Paulo, Vinicius, Índio, Heitor, Nicollas, Matheus Lima, Matheus Vaz and Lucas, honored the colors of the Gávea flag and played bravely.

In the battle for the championship title, Flamengo tied with Botafogo 10-10, but, having finished the qualifying phase in first place, took the advantage and became the state champion undefeated. Heitor (3), Douglas (2), Frota (2), Charles (1), Vinicius (1) and Índio (1) were responsible for the red-black team's goals in the grand final.

Heitor Carrulo was the competition's top scorer with 12 goals. Pedrinho conceded the fewest goals.
