A glorious Flamengo entered the fight for the title of the Brazilian Under-21 Water Polo Cup, a new competition on the CBDA calendar, which started on Thursday (15/5).

In addition to winning the gold medal in the women's competition and the silver medal in the men's competition, CRF also stood out in the individual awards, with Manuela Canetti and Matheus Lima as the competition's goalkeepers with the fewest goals conceded, with nine and 35 goals respectively. Carolina Mello was the women's top scorer with 11 goals, and Lucas Carlos, along with Botafogo's Jonas Crivela, were the men's top scorers with 14 goals.

A red-and-black victory in the women's competition. With an 11-1 rout (4-0 / 2-0 / 1-1 / 4-0) over the black-and-white team, the Gávea team won the gold medal after a spectacular campaign in the Taça Brasil. The red-and-black team's goals were scored by Karina (5), Carol (4), Mariana (1) and Sofia (1).

In a thrilling match, valid for the men's competition, Flamengo and Botafogo put on a show until they tied the score, 8-8, and took the decision to extra time, won by the black and whites.
