Flamengo hosted the event, but lost the title, which went to Esporte Clube Pinheiros. The Children's Winter Water Polo Festival was held on June 2nd and 3rd at the Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park pool in Gávea.

Nine clubs, divided into two groups, participated in the event. Group A included Pinheiros (champion), Tijuca, Botafogo, Guanabara, and Fluminense B. Flamengo was registered in Group A, along with Paineiras do Morumby, Fluminense A, and Oficina Recreio/RJ.

The red-black team, which did not perform well in the matches, with the exception of one, finished in 7th place.
