Flamengo came out on top by defeating Botafogo 12-7 in the opening match of the Junior State Water Polo Championship, which started this Thursday (13/9).

Frota (3), Índio (3), Heitor (3), Charles (2) and Nicolas (1) were the main highlights and responsible for the red-black victory in the competition.

The Junior State Championship will be played in a single round, with the participation of four Rio de Janeiro clubs – Flamengo, Botafogo, Tijuca and Fluminense.

CRF's next match in the competition will be on September 20 (Thursday) at 19:30 p.m. against Fluminense. The match will be held at the Tijuca TC pool.
