Flamengo was already considered the heavy favorite to win the Women's Adult State Water Polo Championship. Now, with the determination and incredible play of Ilana Pinheiro, the competition's top scorer with 18 goals, the red-and-black team has an even better chance of winning the title.

In a match valid for the second round of the competition, held at the Fadel Fadel Aquatic Park, in Gávea headquarters, Flamengo crushed Botafogo by winning 30 to 4 (7 to 0 / 9 to 0 / 7 to 2 / 7 to 2). Ilana alone scored a magnificent 10 goals.

Karina (6), Carol Mello (5), Manuela Garcia (3), Luísa (3), Mariana (2) and Diana (1) were the other scorers for the Gávea team.
