The men's junior water polo team has already selected its names to compete in the 14th World Championship in the category, which will be held between August 18th and 26th, in Long Beach, California (USA).

Of the thirteen names called up, three are from CRFlamengo: Rafael Gama “Cubano” (Forward), Lucas Carlos (Marker) and Heitor Carrulo (Center).

At the 2006 Junior Pan American Games, with four red-and-black players participating, the Brazilian team overcame its opponents and won the silver medal.

This time, the Brazilian junior team will be without one of the standout performers who shone at the Junior Pan American Games. Rodrigo Nascimento, known as Rodriguinho, has requested a leave of absence for personal reasons.

In the women's version of the competition, held in the city of Porto (Portugal), Brazil finished in 15th place.
