Flamengo's water polo teams concluded their participation in the Brasil Open with a competitive and promising record. The tournament, held from May 29th to June 1st at the Tuna Luso Brasileira pool in Belém, Pará, featured some of the country's top clubs and saw Flamengo take silver in the women's competition and fourth place in the men's competition. 

The girls had a strong qualifying campaign, beating Sesi 9-8 and ABDA 11-8, securing a spot in the grand final. In the final, they faced the strong Pinheiros team and, despite a strong performance, were defeated 9-5, winning the silver medal. The boys, on the other hand, beat Paulistano 12-10 and the derby against Fluminense 13-12 in their debut. On Friday, they were defeated by Paineiras 17-16 in another match decided by the details. In the semifinal, Flamengo was defeated 12-11 by Pinheiros, who would go on to win the tournament. In the third-place match, they faced another close match, losing 16-15 to ABDA, sealing fourth place. Forward Nikolaus Tsolakoudis was a standout player and was named to the all-championship team.

For the club's aquatics manager, Edson Terra, Flamengo's performance confirms the club's development of the sport. "We had a great qualifying round in the men's competition, losing by one goal to the team that ended up winning, which shows we're among the best in Brazil. It was a very balanced championship, and we're confident heading into the rest of the National League," he stated. He also praised the women's team's performance: "It was a pleasant surprise. We had a great competition and reached the final against Pinheiros, an excellent team. The results are very positive. We're confident our polo is heading in the right direction," he added.
