The Brazilian women's water polo team, currently competing in the Olympic Pre-Olympic tournament in Imperia, Italy, has yet to secure a victory. Brazil has not scored any points so far and sits in sixth place, out of contention for an Olympic spot.

The debut was against Germany, who emerged victorious from the water, with the score at 11-7 (5-2 / 1-2 / 4-2 / ​​1-1). The match featured the grit of the red-and-black Marina Canetti, who left her mark by scoring the second goal for the Brazilians.

Brazil's second match in the Pre-Olympic tournament was against the Greek national team. Once again, the Brazilians lost, 13-7 (5-0 / 3-2 / 2-2 / 3-3). Then, it was the home team's turn to score a rout, 19-5 (5-0 / 4-1 / 2-1 / 8-3).

The last two matches were against Russia and Puerto Rico. On both occasions, the Brazilians ended up performing better, but not enough to overcome their opponents, who won 12-7 and 5-4, respectively.

This Friday, February 22nd, Brazil will face the Cuban national team. The competition will continue until Sunday, February 2th.
