Women's team selected for Pre-Olympics

Two red-blacks guarantee a place in the Brazilian team.

The technical committee of the Brazilian women's water polo team has already defined the starting players who will take part in the sport's Pre-Olympic tournament, between February 17th and 24th, in Imperia, Italy.

Six red-and-black players were named to the pre-selection group (25 players in total). Of the six girls, two guaranteed a place in the starting lineup: Marina Canetti and Carolina Mello.

The training sessions, which were being held at the Pinheiros pool in São Paulo until today (Thursday), with the presence of the 25 pre-selected players, will take on a lighter pace until the end of Carnival.

On Thursday, the 7th, the red-blacks will return to São Paulo, where they will remain until Wednesday (13/2), when they embark for Italy.
