After five races were held in terrible conditions, the 3rd Regatta of the 2007 State Rowing Championship, which was scheduled to take place today (10/11), was postponed until this Sunday.
The decision to postpone was taken by representatives of all the Clubs involved and by members of the technical committee of the Rio de Janeiro State Rowing Federation.
Due to strong winds and waves in Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, the final six races were impossible. To avoid compromising the athletes' performance on the water, it was agreed that the races would continue tomorrow. Otherwise, the 3rd Regatta of the State Rowing Championship will be held on November 20th.
