The thrilling 9 State Rowing Championship began on Sunday morning (9/2007), on the tracks of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. CRFlamengo performed well in the 1st Regatta of the year, but the initial victory went to Vasco da Gama.

Cruzmaltino took the lead in both the Regatta and the State Championship, with 76 and 70 points, respectively. Flamengo, which won a total of three events, finished second, with 2 and 70 points, followed by Botafogo, with 54 and 52 points.

The 2nd Regatta of the 2007 State Championship will be held on October 21st, starting at 9am, with the following races:

Unlike previous years, the 2007 State Rowing Championship will have only four stages: 1st Regatta (9/9), 2nd Regatta (21/10), 3rd Regatta (10/11) and 4th Regatta (9/12).
