It was not at all easy for Brazilians to participate in the 1st Stage of the Rowing World Cup, held between June 3st and XNUMXrd, in the city of Linz, Austria.

Besides facing tougher opponents, the Brazilians had to adapt to the local climate. But even with all the obstacles, Brazil secured ninth and tenth place finishes.

The women's Four Sculls, formed by the red-and-blacks Renata Görgen and Kissya Cataldo, along with rowers Fabiana Beltrame and Mônica Anversa, secured third place in the B final, which determined the finishers from seventh to twelfth. Overall, Brazil finished ninth. The Brazilians completed the race in 3:7.

The red-and-blacks Thiago Almeida and Leandro Loureiro, who had the strength and determination of two other teammates, overcame the Quatro Sem test and came in 19th place.

Another boat formed by red-and-blacks, the lightweight Double Skiff, with rowers Thiago Gomes and José Carlos Sobral Júnior, did not do as well as expected and came in 28th place.

Brazil achieved tenth place in the Dois Sem event, with rowers Anderson Nocetti and Allan Bittencourt.
