Flamengo won its seventh consecutive Brazilian longboat championship, held between October 7th and 12th at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, reaffirming its dominance in the founding sport. Since 2019, our Macaquinho Sagrado stars haven't lost this competition.

The finals took place last weekend (11th and 12th), and Flamengo's victory was undisputed. There were 22 gold medals in 33 events, including the Olympic and Paralympic categories, guaranteeing Flamengo the overall, Olympic, and Paralympic titles of the tournament.

"It was a very impressive result. The sport is coming off a very strong season, undefeated in the state championship, Brazilian champions. Rowers are excelling in world competitions. The work done since the beginning of the project has been yielding results, and we couldn't be more satisfied. Win, win, win. That's our motto," said the club's rowing manager, Marcelo Freitas.

Now, FlaRemo turns its attention to the last regatta of the state championship, on November 23rd, one victory away from becoming undefeated Rio de Janeiro champion for the tenth time in the club's rich and victorious history.
