Flamengo is proud to have had Isaquias Queiroz on its team, one of the greatest athletes in the history of Brazilian Olympic sport. An Olympic champion with five medals in the Games, and a world reference in canoeing, Isaquias wore the Sacred Mantle for about 7 years in this last stint, ending his cycle at the club in a remarkable way and leaving a legacy of achievements that makes us proud. 

Within a strategic evaluation aligned with the principles guiding Flamengo's Olympic sports program, the club is ending its participation in canoeing. This decision is consistent with Flamengo's philosophy of combining competitive excellence with continuous investment in training, athlete development, and strengthening sports through permanent structures.

Currently, neither Isaquias Queiroz nor Gabriel Assunção, Mateus dos Santos, nor Valdenice do Nascimento reside or train in Rio de Janeiro. This situation makes it impossible to consolidate a structured grassroots program and develop new talents, which are fundamental pillars of Flamengo's sporting project and an essential part of its historical DNA.

Flamengo thanks Isaquias Queiroz, Gabriel Assunção, Mateus dos Santos, Valdenice do Nascimento, and Roberto Maehler for all their professionalism, dedication, and achievements during their time wearing the Sacred Mantle, and wishes them every success in the continuation of their sporting careers.

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo also concludes its participation in para-rowing. The club thanks athletes Michel Pessanha, Gessyca Guerra, Diana Barcellos, and Valdenir Junior for representing the Sacred Mantle with dedication, commitment, and sportsmanship, contributing to Flamengo's history in para-sports. Flamengo recognizes the importance of their careers and wishes them every success in their future endeavors.
