On Saturday afternoon (27), Flamengo presented eight new boats — Rairú, Aruanâ, Piratâ, Caiapo, Urubatâo, Iara, Tarobâ and Nonoai — all with indigenous names, in addition to eight RP3 exercise oars. The ceremony was attended by president Rodolfo Landim, general vice president Rodrigo Dunshee and vice president of rowing Raul Bagattini. The new equipment will assist FlaRemo in the next stages of the State Championship and the Brazilian Championship.

"It's a pleasure to be here to celebrate the acquisition of eight boats, which will improve the performance of our athletes. This is an ongoing investment we are making across all sports to make our teams increasingly competitive and elevate our club to greater heights.

I cannot fail to thank, especially, the entire Rowing team, on behalf of Raul, who has dedicated themselves to further strengthening the sport," said president Rodolfo Landim.

The next stage of the State Rowing Championship will be on September 8th at the Náutico da Lagoa Stadium. Mengão leads the competition with 323 points and also holds first place in the efficiency trophy with 397 points.
