Emotion took over the 4th and final Regatta of the 2007 State Rowing Championship. CRFlamengo was crowned champion of the Regatta, held on the morning of this Sunday (9/12), in Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.

However, the Championship champion title will be decided by the STJD (Superior Court of Sports Justice). The 2-Com - Beginner (2nd Regatta) race was already sub-judice. The Oito Com - Beginner (4th Regatta) was suspended by order of the STJD and will only be held after a decision by the judge.

The red-and-black team won six of the 11 races held this morning and earned 80 points, compared to 64 for Vasco da Gama, the Regatta runner-up. Botafogo finished third with 28 points.

Flamengo celebrated at the end of the Championship. Even with the decision going to subjudice, Flamengo managed to turn things around in the overall standings and finished one point ahead of its archrival.

At the end, the rowers did the famous Olympic lap around the Lagoon, parading with the champion trophy of the 4th Regatta of the 2007 State Rowing Championship.
