All the effort of the rowers and coaching staff was worth it. Despite the grit, determination, and fighting spirit of the red-and-blacks, the 3rd Regatta of the 2008 State Rowing Championship was won by Vasco da Gama, by one point. The races took place on Sunday morning (May 25th) on the lanes of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.
In the Regatta, CR Flamengo scored 86 points, compared to Vasco's 87. In the Championship, both teams scored 74 points, but since Cruzmaltino already had a 37-point lead, they secured the lead.
With the results of the 3rd Regatta, CRFlamengo, which won a total of five races, remains in second place in the State Championship with 201 points. Vasco da Gama remains in the lead with 238 points.
