Flamengo returned to Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas on Sunday morning (25) to compete in the second regatta of the State Rowing Championship. In a more balanced regatta than the first, marked by the red-black dominance, Mais Querido finished in second place, being surpassed by Botafogo, but remains in the overall lead of the competition.

With a consistent presence on the podium, the athletes from Macaquinho Sagrado won 19 medals in 12 events, totaling four golds, seven silvers, and eight bronzes. Botafogo prevailed in the regatta, winning six golds, a decisive factor. In total, their rival scored 112 points, compared to Flamengo's 100.

In the overall state championship standings, considering the two regattas held so far, Flamengo remains in the lead with 212 points, followed by Botafogo with 195, and Vasco with 81. Now, Flamengo is preparing for the third regatta, scheduled for June 6th, even more determined in its pursuit of another state title.
