A new challenge awaits the rowers of the Flamengo Regatta Club, at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. This Saturday (May 31st), starting at 05 a.m., the 9th Marine Corps Regatta will be held to celebrate its 200th anniversary.

In addition to the usual races, the event will also feature competitions in Longboats (men's and women's), Hawaiian Canoe, Combat Rowing, Yole 8 and Adapted Canoe, in distances of up to XNUMX meters.\ \ Among the highlights of the regatta are the Two Sem Senior B crews, with Daniel Amorim and Maciel Costa, and the Lightweight Double, with the recently hired Amanda Duarte and Ana Carolina, known as Panterinha (photo).\

Amanda is excited and hopes her debut with the red-and-black team will be a success: "We're training hard, focusing on the State Championship. This regatta will help us get things right. I want a gold medal, now and later," she says.

Daniel agrees with Amanda: "It will be another obstacle to greater achievements." - also referring to the next stage of the State Championship.
