Flamengo won the 3rd Regatta of the State Rowing Championship, held this Sunday. With this victory, the red-and-black team reduced its points deficit in the Championship to five (previously 15 points), and is closer to winning the 2007 state championship title.

Exciting and well-contested events marked Sunday afternoon. Flamengo won a total of four of the six events. Despite the advantage in the number of events won, the red-and-black team remains behind Vasco da Gama in the Championship.

The most intense and unpredictable of the events was the Senior A/Women's Eights, won by Vasco da Gama in the final seconds. Despite all the grit and determination of the Vasco da Gama girls, Vasco da Gama prevailed.

Highlight for the crew of rowers who were Brazilian champions in 2007. The 2 Sem Júnior A race was easily won by the red-and-blacks Nicolás Satriano and Daniel Freitas Dalmau.

With a total of 94 points, compared to Vasco da Gama's 76, Flamengo won the 3rd Regatta of the 2007 State Rowing Championship, held over two days. Due to strong winds and poor conditions at the Lagoa on Saturday, the final six races had to be held this afternoon.

The 4th and final Regatta of the 2007 State Rowing Championship will be on December 9th, starting at 9am, at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.
