Flamengo wins the second regatta of the State Rowing Championship and remains the absolute leader of the competition

This Sunday morning, our founding sporting stars entered Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas to defend their lead in the State Rowing Championship, which they won in the first regatta of the season. And with FlaRemo, it's like this: mission given, mission accomplished!

Across the 13 events that comprised the stage, the red-and-black athletes took home six gold medals, six silver medals, and five bronze medals. Enough to secure Flamengo's second regatta victory.

The positive result gave Mais Querido 127 points in the overall classification, which, added to the 94 achieved in the first stage, guarantee Mengão a comfortable lead in the state, with 221 points.

Ruben Scarpati, FlaRemo's head coach, commented on the victorious regatta.

"This is what we worked for. The athletes train very hard, focused on winning international competitions. The state championship is a stepping stone to that. So we worked hard to achieve these results, and today everything went as planned," Ruben concluded.

Now, our athletes return to training with an eye on the third regatta, scheduled for July 14th.
