Thiago Almeida and Thiago Gomes, the CRFlamengo rowers who have already secured their place in the Beijing Olympics, are training full-time, despite the bad weather that has hit Rio de Janeiro.

Qualified in the Rowing Pre-Olympics held on November 19th of last year, the red-and-black duo has been fully dedicated to training for the Brazilian national team. The red-and-blacks will represent the men's lightweight Double Sculls.

Rain or shine, the rowers have been performing a distinct and disciplined training routine. By 6:8 AM, the crews are already in the water, where they remain until 30:16 AM. In the afternoon, between 19:XNUMX PM and XNUMX:XNUMX PM, the workouts become even more intense.

According to Thiago Almeida, training has been taking place from Monday to Monday. "We don't have a day off! Training is very intense, but that's how it has to be. Flamengo hasn't had any representatives in the Olympics in a long time, and this is a great motivation for us."

The same pair competed in the XV Pan American Games Rio-2007, finishing 4th in the lightweight Double Sculls event.
