The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo won the state rowing championship for the second time, on the morning of this Sunday (30/3), on the tracks of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.

The Dois Com boat, with rowers Francisco Ramon and Pedro Linhares and helmsman Maurício Abreu, came in first place after an exciting and close battle against Vasco da Gama, which came in second place in the 2007 State Rowing Championship.

Grit, determination and a lot of confidence were the fundamental elements in the three months of training that preceded the race.

"We trained very hard to achieve this result. We knew the importance of this title and the responsibility," said Pedro Linhares, still out of breath.

The Dois Com event was valid for the 2nd Regatta of the 2007 State Rowing Championship and was held again this Sunday, following a decision by the STJD.

It is worth mentioning that those responsible for the red-black victory came from the Remo na Escola Project.
