Flamengo is defeated by Sorocaba in the first game of the Superliga B quarterfinals

The two teams return to the court next Wednesday for the second clash

Flamengo started the match with one point, but Sorocaba quickly recovered and took the lead. After the technical timeout called by coach Arly, the red-and-black team closed the gap, falling behind 7-5. However, the São Paulo team continued to dictate the pace of the game and managed to open up a four-point lead. Mengão tried to fight back, but Sorocaba won the set 25-17.

The second set was marked by Sorocaba's complete dominance. Flamengo couldn't find its footing on the court, and the São Paulo team closed the set 25-15.

In the third set, Flamengo returned with a different approach, more aggressive and with more powerful attacks, opening a 5-1 lead. Sorocaba adjusted, equalized, and then turned the game around. The São Paulo team maintained its lead, reaching 18-11, and never let the momentum falter, closing the set 25-16 and winning the match 3-0.

Flamengo takes to the court next Wednesday, at 19:30 pm, in Sorocaba, for the second game of the Superliga B quarterfinals.
