Sesc RJ Flamengo has strengthened its roster with the signing of Serbian middle blocker Minja Osmajić. The 23-year-old, standing at 1,92m, plays in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) for Serbia and will join Flamengo in September, shortly after the European Championship.

"I'm excited to join Sesc RJ Flamengo as the team's new middle blocker. I can't wait to meet you all and, of course, create incredible memories together. Thank you for welcoming me and see you soon," said Minja, in her first words to her new club.

The signing of Osmajić comes after the injury to her compatriot Maša Kirov's left knee during the Nations League. The middle blocker ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and will undergo surgery, which will keep her out for the 2026/2027 season.

Despite her young age, Osmajić has already accumulated important experiences. After earning opportunities with the Serbian national team, she will join Sesc RJ Flamengo to experience Brazilian volleyball for the first time. Last season, she played for Victorina Himeji in Japan.
