The atmosphere is ripe for decision-making for Sesc RJ Flamengo in the Women's Superliga. Coach Bernardinho's team takes the court this Wednesday (April 02.04nd) at 21 p.m. against Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde at Maracanãzinho, broadcast on SporTV2, for the second quarterfinal match. After losing the first leg of the best-of-three series 3-1 away from home, the red-and-black team is focused solely on a victory in front of its home crowd to force a third and decisive match and continue dreaming of a spot in the semifinals. Aiming to write a new story in the temple of Brazilian volleyball, Sesc RJ Flamengo has the energy of the Red-Black Nation as an ally, in addition to the virtues that mark the project's history: resilience, discipline, and team spirit. One of the team's standouts, outside hitter Helena, recalled that the last few weeks have been spent studying the opponent in detail and expressed confidence in the team's ability to react, having already defeated Osasco twice in the qualifying round, 3-1 and 3-0.  

"In the first set of the last match, we played very well, but we let the match slip away later on. We weren't able to apply what we'd been studying all week, and they deserve credit for what they did. But now, for the second match, I think everyone is very aware of what they need to do, because we know our capabilities and have already beaten them twice this season. We're confident, training hard, and studying our mistakes and what we can improve to do differently and reverse this deficit in the playoffs," said Helena.

Sesc RJ Flamengo continues to stand out in the Superliga statistics. Setter Brie is the third-best server, with 23 aces. Middle blocker Lorena is the fourth-best blocker, with 79 points, and the fifth-most efficient in attack (45,92%). Libero Laís is the third-most efficient receiver (67,49%), with outside hitter and captain Michelle in sixth (62,99%). Opposite hitter Edinara is the fifth-highest scorer in the competition, with 340 hits. 

Sesc RJ Flamengo reached the top of the podium in the Women's Superliga in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).

The 2024/2025 Superliga brings together 12 teams, which face each other in a home and away match, and the top eight advance to the playoffs.
