Sesc RJ Flamengo decides the title of the Campeonato Carioca against Fluminense

In search of the 20th trophy of the competition, Bernardinho's team meets its rival again this Monday (14.10), at 19 pm, in Volta Redonda

It's time for another decision for Sesc RJ Flamengo. This Monday (14.10), coach Bernardinho's team faces Fluminense, at 19 pm, at the CSN Employees' Club, in Volta Redonda (RJ), in search of the 20th title of the Campeonato Carioca. SporTV 2 will broadcast live.

After winning the National Pro-Volleyball Club Cup, Sesc RJ Flamengo is committed to achieving not only its second trophy of the season but also a step up in the group's progression. Last Wednesday (October 09.10th), the Rubro-Negro was defeated by Tricolor in the tie-break, in a match that served as a learning experience for the grand final.

"Expectations for the Carioca final are very high. We're very confident we'll give our best. We know it won't be easy, but we've worked hard to correct the mistakes we made in the last game, we've adjusted some things, and we've studied the Fluminense team well. We know the final is a different championship. What will make the difference is the unity of our group, the joy and commitment of each one. We're all united for the same result and goal," said opposite hitter Edinara.

The 2024 Carioca Championship takes place in a triangular format, with Sesc RJ Flamengo, Fluminense and Tijuca Tênis Clube, and is the last commitment of the red-blacks before the Superliga, the main objective of the season.

This will be the 11th state final between Sesc RJ Flamengo and Fluminense in history. Bernardinho's team has won nine: 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2013 and 2012.
