Sesc RJ Flamengo was defeated by Dentil Praia Clube in the first match of the best-of-three series in the Women's Superliga semifinals. On Monday (April 13.04th), the team from Uberlândia (MG) prevailed, winning 3 sets to 0, with scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-17, at the UTC Gymnasium. Now, coach Bernardinho's team will seek a comeback in front of their home crowd. The second game takes place this Friday (April 17.04th) at 21 pm, at Maracanãzinho, and tickets are on sale at the Guichê Web website.

On a night when Dentil Praia Clube presented many challenges, Sesc RJ Flamengo struggled with reception and failed to showcase its full offensive potential. Opposite hitter Tainara was the top scorer for the red-and-black team, with 12 points.

"Dentil Praia Clube played an excellent game, tactically speaking, while we couldn't do what we had been training. We struggled a lot on the court. Now, we have little time left, but we will analyze what we need to do, and we will train to try to even the series on Friday, with the support of our fans," said outside hitter Karina. 

If the series is tied, Flamengo will force a Game 3, again at Maracanãzinho, with qualification for the Superliga grand final at stake, against Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde or Gerdau Minas, on May 3rd, at Ibirapuera, in São Paulo.
