Sesc RJ Flamengo was defeated by Maringá by 3 sets to 1, with partial scores of 25/27, 25/23, 23/25 and 12/25, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, on Friday night (25.10), in the second round of the Women's Superliga.

On a night of numerous errors and poor offensive performance, the red-and-blacks were unable to play their best game. Coach Bernardinho made several changes during the match, bringing in outside hitter Karina, opposite hitter Camila Mesquita, and middle blocker Jussara, but they weren't enough to prevent the result. Middle blocker Lorena, with 16 points, was the Rio de Janeiro team's top scorer.

"We played well below our training level. They came out aggressive and intelligent, and we tried to find solutions throughout the game. We know we need to work hard and we won't give up. We have a week of training ahead of us, and we have to be patient as we adjust our team," said libero Laís.

Sesc RJ Flamengo will have a week of work ahead of them and returns to the court next Friday (01.11/21), at 30:XNUMX pm, against Barueri, in São Paulo, for the third round of the Superliga.
