Sesc RJ Flamengo started in front, but ended up being surpassed by Gerdau Minas, this Friday (14.03), by 3 sets to 1, with partial scores of 29/27, 19/25, 23/25 and 22/25, in Belo Horizonte, for the 10th round of the Women's Superliga. Already qualified for the playoffs, coach Bernardinho's team remains in fifth place, with 39 points, with two rounds remaining until the end of the qualifying phase.

Opposite hitter Edinara was Sesc RJ Flamengo's top scorer, with 20 points, followed by outside hitter Karina, with 19. Despite keeping their heads up, the Rio de Janeiro team did not maintain the consistency of the first set throughout the rest of the match.

"We ended up making a lot of mistakes at the beginning of the sets. We let their team open up a lot of points. We still fought hard and played a close match, but we allowed them to play with a comfortable lead. We made mistakes at key moments and we have to work on that for the remaining games before the playoffs," said middle blocker Juju.

Sesc RJ Flamengo's next match is again in Minas Gerais. On Tuesday (18.03), the Rubro-Negro faces Dentil Praia Clube, at 18 pm, in Uberlândia.
